The establishment of Sunpura High School in 1968 was the result of the visionary efforts of committed social activists and educationists: Sri Mukta Ram Deori, Late Rangalal Goutam, and Late Kharka Bahadur Gurung, supported by the people of Sunpura and neighbouring areas.

Mission Objectives — 2025–26

To realize the school's vision, PM SHRI Sunpura High School commits to the following mission objectives for the 2025–26 academic cycle:

5.1 Academic Resilience

To overhaul the pedagogical approach for Class X, targeting a minimum 80% pass rate through data-driven remedial coaching and ICT-integrated teaching.

5.2 Infrastructure Saturation

To replace all "Kutcha" structures with permanent RCC buildings, ensuring a 100% Pucca, All-Weather Campus that is accessible even during peak monsoons.

5.3 Digital Inclusion

To bridge the digital divide by expanding from a 2-PC setup to a fully functional ICT Lab and Smart Classroom ecosystem, supported by uninterrupted power backup.

5.4 Empowerment of the Girl Child

To leverage the school's high female enrollment by creating specialized leadership and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) pathways for its 330+ girls.

5.5 Administrative Unity

To foster a collaborative culture by unifying the teaching staff into a single Faculty Resource Center, ensuring seamless communication and professional growth.
