About PM SHRI

PM SHRI (Prime Minister’s Schools for Rising India) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Government of India intended to develop more than 14,500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central Government, State/UT Government, local bodies, including KVS and NVS. The initiative aims to provide an environment in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, with a safe and stimulating learning environment, a wide range of learning experiences, and good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning.

The scheme also seeks to showcase the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and enable PM SHRI Schools to emerge as exemplar schools over time.
